THE MAISON TWENTY SEVEN STORY Timeless Grace in Santa Monica

The stuccoed walls of our iconic villa continue to embrace a warm and relaxed environment. Although history informs our present, it does not hinder our forward progress. As we approach our second century, we promote curated individual experiences with a bespoke style befitting our legacy.

Soul

A Santa Monica standout since 1927, the architecture of our villa exhibits the essence of our French Mediterranean lifestyle. Influences reveal themselves in ways both bold and subtle—from the wrought iron gates to the balconies and covered loggia. But beyond the physical, our villa embodies living a curated life at a slower pace that richly rewards time spent together.

Life

From our lush garden entrance, into our peaceful living room, and throughout each unique flat, our interiors are full of life and personality. Spaces reflect a style collected over time and infused with individuality. We celebrate our historic architectural gem and Santa Monica’s storied past while infusing our community’s modern artistry and energy.

Spirit

Our villa has a distinctive ambience that speaks to the soul through outstanding design, sensory engagement, and life enhancement. We set the mood through soft lighting, subtle scents, and thoughtfully chosen music, creating a safe space where guests can breathe, sharing laughter and love through emotional engagement and curated personal growth.

A masterwork of Spanish Colonial Revival, Maison Twenty Seven was originally conceived in 1927 by architect Arthur E. Harvey as a tribute to romantic European sensibilities. Now a designated landmark, the residence has been meticulously preserved to honor its original soul. From the ornate decorative ceilings and hand-patterned tiles to the sun-drenched courtyards, every detail bridges historic provenance with a contemporary, sophisticated spirit.
